This is a perfect recipe if you like potatoes and cauliflower.
(I sometimes add tomatoes too.)
Ingredients
For
two:
3 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/2 tsp nigella seeds (kalonji)
1,5 onions, chopped
2 cm ginger, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 green chilli, chopped
pinch of dried fenugreek leaves
2 potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 cauliflower, bite-size florets separated
1 tomato, cut into 4 pieces (optional)
Masala:
1,5 tsp coriander
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp garam masala
0,5 tsp salt
Instructions
1. Heat the oil and fry the cumin and nigella seeds until they
start to crackle.
2.
Add the onions. Stir and fry until the onion is translucent
and golden brown.
3.
Add the masala and mix well.
4.
Add the garlic, ginger, green chili and fenugreek leaves.
5.
Add the potatoes. If the ingredients stick to the bottom, you
can add some water. Cook covered for 15 minutes on a low flame.
6.
Add the cauliflower florets. Keep on cooking for 20 minutes
until the potatoes and cauliflower are done.
7.
If you want, you can add the tomatoes five minutes before taking
the pan off the heat.
8.
Garnish with coriander leaves. Let the tastes settle for five
minutes.
9.
Serve as a main course..
