Vegetable Soup
This recipe originates from Vienna. You can prepare it without
the turnip cabbage, too, but be careful with the cumin seeds;
do not use jeera, as that is not the right kind for this dish.
Ingredients
For
two or three:
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp wheat flour
2 garlic cloves, chopped
2 tsp cumin seeds
2-4 potatoes, chopped
1 turnip cabbage, chopped
1/2
cauliflower, chopped
salt
water
1 egg
Instructions
1. Heat
the butter and oil in a large kettle. Add the wheat flour and
fry until brown.

Add the garlic and fry for a moment. Do not burn the garlic.
Add the cumin seeds.

Add the potatoes, turnip cabbage and cauliflower. Pour boiling
hot water to cover them.

Add salt according to taste and let it cook for 15-20 minutes
until the vegetables are done.
5.
Add the egg and mix well.
6.
Serve with bread.
