Beef and Celery


This is a quick wok where the beef and celery nicely complement each other.

Ingredients

For two:

2 tbsp oil
1 tsp corn starch
250 g beef fillet, cut into thin pieces
3 stems of celery, cut into thin 3 cm pieces
2 cm ginger, chopped
salt

black pepper
1 tbsp rice wine
1/2 tbsp black bean and garlic sauce
1/2 tsp dark sugar
1/2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

1. Mix the corn starch with black pepper, salt and 1 tbsp of water. Add the meat and mix well.

2. Heat the oil in the pan. Add the ginger and fry for a moment.

3. Add the meat stirring constantly for two minutes until the meat is done.

4. Add salt and pepper, rice wine and the celeries. Fry for two minutes until the water has almost completely evaporated.

5. Add the black bean and garlic sauce, a pinch of dark sugar and a drop of water. Fry for a moment.

6. Sprinkle some rice vinegar, sesame oil and a touch of more black pepper.

7. Serve with rice.
