In
a Record Store
I
was in a dimly lit record store browsing CDs piled on shelves. The
shelves were near each other leaving little room for moving around.
I was searching for exciting new titles as well as older objects of
interest. The vendor acted as a DJ playing his favourite tunes behind
the counter.
Checking
the CD collection I paid attention to the music. After fast songs,
the vendor played slower ones. These fit well together, althought
the lazier rhythms made me so relaxed that I felt like laying down
on the floor. The vendor didn't see me behind the shelves and there
were hardly any customers, so the soothing music made me quite comfortable
and sleepy.
I
have no idea how long I managed to sleep, but I was awakened by a
faster beat. Good song, I though, as I rose up from the floor.
Continuing
to browse the CDs, I thought how great it is to have variation in
music. If all the tracks were fast, one might get so excited that
you would eventually get tired of all the impulses. On the other hand,
if all the songs were slow, then one might get bored almost to a complete
point of paralysis.
