Pond
The
water was crystal clear. The pond was two metres of diameter and not
very deep. In the water you could see perches with bright red fins.
We
were sitting by the pond with my parents and my brother. We had the
hooks and the lines with us. There was no need for a fishing rod.
It was enough to simply hold the line in your hand.
The
fishes were greedy to catch the bait. The water was clear so it was
easy to see where the fish were going. Soon we had a dozen of sizable
fish. They were piled on top of each other in a box.
I
paid attention to the surrounding nature. There were pines and firs
growing next to the pool. Green verdant vegetation filled the entire
area. I noticed that in the midst of the nearby bushes there were
colourful beetles. I marvelled at their colours. They were ornamental
and full of Disney characters.
"How
is it possible that a bug contains the picture of Donald Duck?"
I asked.
"It shows that Nature is not an arbitrary phenomenon," my
father replied. "The cartoon characters would not be there without
a guiding force."
I
continued catching the fish. Apparently my mother had already smoked
some of the fish. At least the top fish had already been prepared
and dark from the smoke.
I
thought the ready-cooked fish should not have been mixed with the
raw ones. However, the smoked fish was very tasty.
