Coins
On
my way to a grocery store I checked whether I had any money with me.
Yes, there was some cash in my pocket, including a few coins.
I
looked at the coins. One was particularly shiny. It was bigger than
a euro coin with a picture of Virgin Mary inscribed. I had never seen
such a coin.
I
continued towards the store and passed the parking lot. The sun had
set and it was getting dark. Still, I wasn't sure if there was something
glimmering in the ditch?
I
stopped by and stooped to see what it was. A couple of coins were
half-buried in the ground. I took the coins and cleaned them: altogether
it was a couple of euros. I was startled to find out that one of the
coins looked exactly like the Virgin Mary coin I had just found.
Feeling
very lucky I went to the grocery store. I filled my shopping cart
with food items and queued so as to pay.
As
I paid my purchases, the cashier gave me the change and exclaimed:
"Wow! That's an unpublished coin, straight from the mint. Very
valuable. You can keep it and sell it later with great profit."
The
coin was yet another Virgin Mary euro, bright and shiny. "This
is the third similar coin I've come across this evening! That's very
peculiar. It can hardly be a coincidence. I wonder what this means...?"
The
vendor gave me a suspicious look, and said, "One day you'll get
good money out of those coins. Have a nice evening."
